Covid and Us

It’s hard to comprehend that after 21 months, we are still in a full-on pandemic. If anything, it’s worse than this time last year.

Our hearts go out to all those who have lost loved ones, to those who have Covid now, and to those suffering from long Covid.

Here are Snorestore, we have, incredibly, escaped Covid so far. We are all triple vaccinated and we mask up whenever we are in contact with others. We know this doesn’t make us immune from contracting the virus, but it sure as hell is likely to make it less severe when we do get it, and far less likely that we will take up a hospital bed.

We simply cannot understand the mindset of those, a significant minority, who refuse to get vaccinated. You were all vaccinated against killer and disabling diseases when you were young; if you got a nasty scratch from a garden tool, you might even have got a new tetanus jab as an adult. Maybe you encouraged your daughter or son to get the HPV vaccine, to protect them from cancer. What is it about the Covid vaccine that makes you resist?

I (the boss), spent a good chunk of 2021 working on the Covid vaccination programme. The effort was run by the NHS supported by an army of volunteers. Believe me, if you think we hold you in contempt for not getting your vaccine, that’s not the case. We’re sad, because obviously we know that you are risking your long term health, if not your life, by remaining unvaccinated. We will welcome you with open arms if you change your mind. Find a vaccination ventre here or book online here.

  1. I’m a doctor. This post, and your email today, just confirm that yours is a company I will continue to do business with.

    1. Thank you Chris for your kind words. And more importantly, thank you for all that you and your colleagues do.
